Accredited verifier
A verifier accredited by an EU national accreditation body to issue verification opinions on CBAM emissions data.
Only an EU-accredited verifier can issue a verification opinion that allows actual emissions values to be used in a CBAM declaration. Accredited verifiers can register in the CBAM Registry from 1 September 2026; the first reports can be issued from January 2027.
