CBAMWorks
The method we use →

A tool for two groups the regulation puts on either side of the same problem.

CBAM makes the EU importer pay for carbon emissions that happen inside a non-EU factory. CBAMWorks connects the two — in the supplier's language, on a phone, with every number tied to its evidence and the audit trail a verifier can follow.

Principles

Six rules we hold ourselves to.

We mention them here because they shape every page, every number, every default in the product.

01

Honest numbers

If a value is an estimate, we label it an estimate. If a rule is still unclear, we say so explicitly instead of guessing. The site contains no fabricated statistics, no fake customer logos and no made-up testimonials.

02

Supplier-first

Suppliers never pay to use the tool when their EU buyer invited them. Supplier forms are in their language. They own their data and choose who sees it.

03

Follow the official rules

Default values, emission factors, grid factors and goods categories come from the official EU reference tables, loaded into versioned reference data. We never hard-code regulatory numbers in product code.

04

Verifier-ready, by default

Every number ties back to the bill, meter reading or production log it came from. Audit trail is append-only. A verifier should be able to walk the chain for any value in the dashboard.

05

Local where it matters

WhatsApp first for Indian suppliers. Hindi, Punjabi and Gujarati at launch. Cluster-batched verifier visits so the per-installation cost is manageable.

06

No "verified" without a verifier

We will never call a number verified unless an EU-accredited verifier has issued a positive opinion for it. Pre-verification is useful; it is not verification.

Timeline

What we have shipped and what we are shipping next.

  1. Early 2026

    Idea

Importers in Germany and Italy ask the same question: "How do I get my Indian supplier to answer a CBAM data request?" Spreadsheets in English are not working.

  2. Mid 2026

    Pilot design

Design brief drafted around three reference sites (Amperos, Terrascope, Rox). Site structure drafted around 151 EN pages (plus localised variants).

  3. 18 Oct 2026

    Facts baseline

All regulatory numbers on the site reviewed against primary sources. Baseline date committed as FACTS_CHECKED_ON — refreshed on every weekly rules review.

  4. Q4 2026

    Pilot cohort onboarding

First EU importer trials begin. Supplier-side flow tested in Ludhiana and Rajkot clusters.

  5. 30 Sep 2027

    First EU CBAM declaration deadline

    What we are building for.

What CBAMWorks doesn't do

We collect and calculate. We don't verify, and we don't file.

  • • We are not an EU-accredited verifier. Actual emissions values can only be used in a declaration after a verifier issues a positive opinion.
  • • We are not an authorised CBAM declarant. The EU importer, or its indirect customs representative, files in the CBAM Registry.
  • • We don't give legal, tax or customs advice. Customers remain responsible for their CBAM obligations.
